About Me
I have been practising as a counsellor since 1996 and obtained my Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling in 2000. Since obtaining my Diploma I have undertaken numerous Continuing Professional Development courses to broaden my knowledge and to improve my practice. I have over 13 years' experience of working in a voluntary sector counselling centre in Croydon, where I saw a variety of clients with different needs and problems. I have also worked in the NHS as a therapist for people with learning disabilities and a range of mental health problems. I started my private practice in 2004 and since then have helped many adult clients, which has given me a breadth of experience in working with adults of different ages, sexual orientations, cultures and backgrounds. If you are experiencing psychological or emotional difficulties you can contact me directly - you don't need anyone to refer you.
In 2007 I started a rigorous training as a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist at WPF Therapy, which is still ongoing.
I am a Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Member of the Institute of Psychotherapy and Disability and, as such, I subscribe to their Code of Ethics and Practice.
